About Us
Where Stories Take Shape in Wood
Welcome to Toytales of Kondapalli — a space where tradition, storytelling, and craftsmanship come alive in every curve of wood.
We are a heritage-inspired brand devoted to preserving and promoting the 400-year-old wooden toy-making craft of Kondapalli, a historic village in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Each toy we create carries a fragment of history — handcrafted from Tella Poniki, a soft, eco-friendly wood native to the region. From a simple wooden block, our artisans carve, shape, and hand-paint every detail using natural and vegetable dyes. The result is more than a toy — it’s a story told in color and form.
Where craftsmanship keeps culture alive.
What We Believe In
Our Story
Born from a love for Indian heritage, Toytales of Kondapalli was founded to give Kondapalli’s 400-year-old wooden toy craft a global voice. Every creation tells a story of tradition, culture, and artistry — connecting the heart of a small Indian village to homes around the world.
Our Craftsmanship
Each toy is hand-carved from eco-friendly Tella Poniki wood by Kondapalli’s skilled artisans. From carving and smoothing to hand-painting with natural dyes, every piece reflects patience, precision, and passion — no machines, no shortcuts, just pure craftsmanship.
Our Vision
To preserve India’s wooden toy-making legacy while empowering local artisans with sustainable livelihoods. We aim to blend age-old traditions with modern design, bringing authentic, eco-conscious Indian art into global homes.
Our Promise
Every Toytales creation carries more than beauty — it carries emotion, culture, and legacy. Whether gifted, collected, or cherished, our toys connect generations and remind us that every story deserves to be told in wood.
